The Buick brand has certainly come a long way since it was first introduced to the market back in 1899.
Buick’s long and storied history has been exciting right from the get-go. After nearly going bankrupt in 1904, the company quickly recovered – and in quite dramatic fashion at that – going on to become the number one producer of automobiles just a few short years later. The brand’s resurgence was so successful that it surpassed the combined production of both of its closest competitors: Ford and Cadillac.
Despite having joined the General Motors company in 1908, Buick is still considered to be the oldest American automobile marque that is still currently in operation.
